Wednesday’s Dose Of Paradise

Stuck in the office? Wishing you were elsewhere? How about a does of paradise to hold you over?

I shot this quick little video yesterday, at the Intracoastal on Jupiter Island. Wish I had turned the camera horizontally, sorry about that! I think you can still appreciate the beauty though. It really is paradise! Enjoy your Wednesday, friends! 🌴☀️🐠

At The Juno Beach Pier

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been to the Juno Beach Pier. I forgot how amazing the view of our gorgeous Atlantic Ocean is from there! I took a leisurely, evening stroll down the pier with my husband last weekend, and it did not disappoint!

Located just off from the Ocean Rescue Headquarters at 14776 Highway A1A, Juno Beach, Florida 33408. The pier is the perfect spot for anglers, beach goers and spectators. Admission fees are $4.00 for anglers and $1.00 for spectators. If you’re fishing off the pier, they have a a small bait shop located right at the admission gate. Need an ice cream on a hot day? They have that too!

Admittedly, I’m not a very good fisherlady. Honestly I don’t have the patience for it and watching the caught fish flop around out of the water, breaks my heart every time! However, it was quite humorous to walk down the pier and see the fish out smarting the fisherman the whole time! There were HUGE fish below the pier, probably close to 50 anglers all up and down the pier and not one of them were catching anything!

Check out the size of those bad boys!

It was awesome to watch the giant bait balls swim in formation, making perfect circles around the larger fish. The perspective from the pier is really cool!

If you look close, you can see the stingray that swam by.

You just can’t help but feel yourself relax looking at the view from the pier! Not only are the views spectacular, the pier also plays an important role with keeping our local marinelife safe and the environment healthy. You can learn more about the Responsible Pier Initiative on the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s website here.

This is just one of the MANY reasons I love working & living in Jupiter, Florida. If you live in the Jupiter area, be sure and take a some time to enjoy the pier from time to time. It really is quite lovely.

The start of summer is upon us! If you’re a regular reader of this blog you know I’m kind of obsessed with my home town Jupiter, Florida. Living and working in this town is really great! However, sometimes I forget to take time to actually enjoy all the wonderful things and places our little town has to offer. So for the last couple of weeks, I’ve made a point to enjoy a little bit of our local flavor!

Thinking of a Getaway? I suggest Vero!

I know it’s hard to believe that someone living in Jupiter, Florida would ever want to leave! This year, 2015, is the year my closest girlfriends all turn 40. We all decided to meet up and celebrate together, with a few other friends and all our husbands. Our destination, Costa d’ Este, Beach Resort & Spa in Vero Beach, Florida.

Fountain
They prefer the guests stay out of the fountain, but it sure is tempting!

From their site:

“As a top ten celebrity-owned hotel of the world*, Costa d’Este Beach Resort & Spa is a haven from the ordinary. The twin five-story, Miami modern inspired towers define chic sophistication with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. Costa d’Este Beach Resort & Spa offers the pinnacle of unpretentious luxury for the most sophisticated travelers and laid-back beach enthusiasts alike. Vero Beach, Florida is often referred to as the “Hamptons of Miami.” This unaffected resort town offers the experience of Florida of yesteryear, with shorelines that still reflect an unprecedented natural integrity.”

For several years now I’ve had a thing for boutique hotels. The Costa d’ Este is now one of my favorites! The style of the hotel, the amazing food, the super friendly staff, the gorgeous pool, our ocean view room (LOVE), being beachside, and the complimentary mojitos all help you feel pampered and relaxed!

We spent a good portion of our day lounging at the pool.

Located right in the heart of Ocean Drive Shopping District, there are a ton of cute little boutique stores and many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Although, you may not even want to leave. We enjoyed the most delicious breakfast at the The Wave Kitchen & Bar, right in the hotel. Be sure and try the Cuban inspired Eggs Benedict…it is amazing!!

I highly recommend upgrading to the oceanview rooms. You can’t beat that view!
